WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Vice President, Program Manager based in Chicago, IL.

Your Impact
  • Serve in a program director role on mega project delivered via various delivery methods
  • Lead the delivery of multiple connected projects for transit and/or vertical construction, through the design, construction and closeout phases
  • Manage the commercial interest of the client while driving the on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Responsible for independent review of project progress
  • Perform schedule review and analysis
  • Provide solutions to project issues
  • Review and strategize improvement to key operational performance metrics
  • Support and empower staff and direct reports to execute project assignments on time and on budget
  • Develop and maintain Project Management Plans to include Program Controls, Document Control, Design Management, Risk Management, Safety Management, Quality Control, and Environmental Compliance
  • Develop and maintain relationships with public and private sector clients, agencies, partner firms and sub-consultants, as well as other external stakeholders such as vendors and suppliers.
  • Lead staff development which includes mentoring, training, coaching and professional development.
  • Accountable for overall management and successful execution of consultant’s contract to ensure performance and profitability.
  • Create a learning culture that values innovative subject matter expertise and fosters effective and continual personal development.
  • Develop and implement a communication strategy to increase the effectiveness of discipline-related processes, systems, and practices, and mitigating discipline-related risks.
  • Serve as program management discipline subject matter expert to a variety of internal / external entities including Federal, State, and Local Agencies, Clients, Subcontractors, industry-related groups, and various government and community entities.
  • Manage overall delivery team’s performance and provide inspiring leadership to assigned management and staff.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business and client needs.
Who You Are Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Extensive project delivery experience successfully managing mega projects consisting of multiple connected projects for transit and/or vertical design and construction as a Program Manager
  • Design/Bid/ Build, Design/Build or other alternative delivery experience as a program manager or program director
  • 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to engage at an executive level.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent computer skills - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

  • MS Degree (Management)
  • PE License in Illinois

Compensation

Expected Salary: $182,900 - $347,600

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
