Job description

Responsible for directing, managing, and executing the Company’s sales strategy to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and strengthen customer relationships. The Sales Technician leads sales activities across assigned markets, develops strategic sales plans, manages key customer relationships, and collaborates closely with engineering, manufacturing, and marketing to ensure customer requirements are effectively translated into profitable business opportunities.

  • Serves as liaison with potential customers in developing conceptual designs on new products including evaluating, improving, and documenting manufacturing processes for several product lines.
  • Serves a sales contact with assigned accounts. Responsible for promoting our products to those accounts and for reporting back all relevant market data and information (such as market pricing and other competitor information) to the Sales/Marketing Management.
  • Works in conjunction with other sales and technical personnel in providing technical assistance to customers with product/process development inclusive of materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Interacts with vendors to determine product specifications and negotiates costing for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts. Evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Serves as Program Manager for the development and launch of new products/programs.
  • Sets-up and conducts testing of manufacturing units and components under operational conditions to investigate design proposals for improving equipment performance or other factors to obtain data for development, standardization, and quality control.
  • Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, and parts, fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
  • Collaborates with configuration control and design engineering to ensure effectual production methods for Divisional utilization.
  • Analyzes on behalf of Manufacturing Divisions work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow.
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information to Divisional managers.
  • Organizes management and engineering meetings to plan, organize and facilitate production processes with Divisional units.
  • Overall awareness and understanding that Hope Global operates within the EMS 14001 & ITAF16949 management systems
