Job description

Title:
Integrated Master Scheduler Program Summary Kord, a wholly owned subsidiary of KBR, is a leader in advanced defense solutions with a strong focus on directed energy and High Energy Laser (HEL) technologies. Our HEL programs support the U.S. Department of Defense in developing, integrating, and fielding cutting-edge laser weapon systems that enhance national security and provide decisive battlefield advantages. These programs demand precise planning, coordination, and execution to meet aggressive schedules and technical milestones. Job Summary The Integrated Master Scheduler serves as the primary authority for developing, maintaining, and analyzing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) across multiple HEL programs. This role ensures that all contractual, technical, and program requirements are met as they pertain to the schedule, while maintaining alignment with resource constraints and delivery objectives. The scheduler partners closely with program management, engineering, finance, and supply chain teams to deliver accurate forecasting, identify risks, and provide schedule-driven insights that enable informed decision-making and timely corrective actions. Roles and Responsibilities • Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) using Statement of Work (SOW) and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements for initial program baselines and proposals. • Modify and update program schedules during re-baselining efforts and ensure compliance with contractual requirements. • Operate within the established program business cadence by leading monthly schedule status reviews, communicating schedule performance to Finance, and preparing Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables. • Maintain resource-loaded program schedules through regular analysis of schedule status, critical path and variance metrics, network logic validation, and baseline maintenance. • Utilize Gantt charts, driving path analysis, milestone tracking, Earned Value Management, and other project management techniques to monitor progress, identify performance variances, and enable timely intervention on critical areas. • Ensure IMS compliance with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) 14-point assessment guidelines and KBR standards. • Support ad hoc customer requests for scenario modeling and impact assessments of schedule changes. • Responsible for configuration management of the program schedule and associated subcontractor schedules. • Coordinate with program leadership to align schedules with contractual deliverables, milestones, and technical objectives. • Integrate subcontractor and supplier schedules into the overall program IMS. • Support program Earned Value Management (EVM) requirements and deliverables by ensuring schedule data integrity and alignment with cost baselines. • Provide regular schedule status reports, metrics, and briefings to program leadership and government customers. • Drive IMS engagement during internal and external status sessions, including Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs). • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate resource loading and forecasting. Basic Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field. • 7+ years of experience in program scheduling within defense or aerospace industries. • Proficiency with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project and/or Primavera (P6). • Strong knowledge of Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS) practices and Earned Value Management (EVM). • Experience with DCMA 14-point schedule analysis. • Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. • U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications • Master's degree in Project Management, Engineering, or related discipline. • 8+ years of experience in defense program scheduling, preferably with directed energy or advanced weapon systems. • Prior experience supporting Army or DoD high energy laser programs. • Familiarity with Agile program management practices. • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project Server/Enterprise tools. • Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance. • Working knowledge of EVMS Standard (EIA 748-D) and Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-program schedules.
