Software Solutions Engineer

Our Client is looking for an IT Software Solutions Engineer who combines software development, technical troubleshooting, and strong customer service skills. This position will work directly with customers and internal teams to understand technical needs, troubleshoot problems, write and modify code, and develop practical software solutions. The ideal candidate enjoys programming, problem solving, and helping people, with the ability to translate customer needs into effective technical solutions and explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and nontechnical users.

Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide professional and responsive technical support to customers and internal team members

• Communicate with customers by phone, email, and other channels to identify and resolve technical issues

• Write, modify, test, and maintain code to improve software functionality and develop customized solutions

• Assist with software development, debugging, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance

• Troubleshoot software, computer, application, and other technology related issues

• Investigate technical problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions

• Configure and maintain software applications and systems

• Translate customer and business requirements into practical technical solutions

• Assist with software integrations, APIs, databases, data management, and automation

• Identify opportunities to improve software functionality, workflows, and business processes

• Test new software features, updates, integrations, and custom code

• Document technical processes, software solutions, customer issues, and procedures

• Explain technical information clearly to technical and nontechnical customers

• Follow up with customers to ensure technical issues are fully resolved

• Collaborate with other departments to improve software functionality, operational efficiency, and customer experience

• Maintain positive customer relationships and take ownership of issues through resolution

• Stay current with programming languages, software development tools, and emerging technologies

Qualifications and Certifications

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

• Genuine interest in coding, programming, software development, and technology

• Experience with or willingness to learn software development and programming

• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem solving abilities

• Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills

• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to individuals without a technical background

• Ability to learn new programming languages, software applications, and systems quickly

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of problems through resolution

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to prioritize multiple projects, technical issues, and customer needs

• Professional, dependable, patient, and solution oriented approach

• Experience with Python, JavaScript, C Sharp, SQL, or similar programming languages preferred

• Experience with databases, APIs, software integrations, or automation preferred

• Previous software development or programming experience preferred

• Previous technical support or customer service experience preferred

• Familiarity with Windows, networking, cloud based software, or business applications preferred

• Experience supporting SaaS or business management software preferred
