Synchron, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to support to the U.S. Navy's In-Service Attack Submarines Program Office (PMS 392) at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC! We are seeking a candidate to join our team and data analytic support services to programs supporting the maintenance and modernization of the U.S. Navy's fleet of Attack Submarines . PMS 392 is part of U.S. Navy's Team Submarine (TSUB) which is responsible for the design, new construction, maintenance and modernization of the nuclear-powered submarine fleet. Responsibilities: * Strategic Executive Advising - serve as the principal data analytics lead supporting all SUBSYD planning initiatives. Translate complex operational and maintenance data into actionable intelligence tailored for Flag Officer and Senior Executive Service (SES) decision-making. * Advanced Analytics & Executive Dashboarding - function as the premier data analytics authority, architecting high-level briefings and dynamic executive dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to drive strategic readiness decisions across the Portfolio Acquisition Executives (PAEs). Be a member of cross-functional analytics projects, delivering rapid, complex data extraction, and predictive modeling to answer critical inquiries from top-echelon commnd leadership. * Governance & Steering Committee Leadership - provide strategic advice for data analytics, directly supporting Flag-level pillar steering committees, Late Work Governance boards, and executive leadership. Design and implement long-term analytics roadmaps that align with overarching strategic priorities and readiness mandates. * Emerging Technology Integration - spearhead the adoption of state-of-the-art data science methodologies, predictive analytics, and emerging information management tools. Leverages knowledge of cutting-edge tech to modernize PMS392 reporting ecosystems and ensure continuous decision advantage for senior Navy leadership. * Enterprise Data Policy & Strategy - develop, recommend, and institutionalize enterprise-wide data governance and analytics policies. Ensure data integrity, automated reporting capabilities, and seamless, secure information flow directly to Flag-level stakeholders. * Systems Architecture Alignment - collaborate as the strategic liaison between executive stakeholders and technical teams (SMART system architects, data engineers, developers). Ensure that database designs and system architectures are explicitly built to support executive dashboarding and advanced programmatic analytics requirements. * Strategic Implementation - direct the strategic rollout and organizational change management required for the implementation of new enterprise-level analytics platforms and systemic data overhauls. * Executive Audit & Quality Assurance - provide authoritative guidance on data architecture and Power BI data modeling to ensure absolute data fidelity. Ensure all data elements meet the rigorous quality standards required for high-visibility, Flag-level reviews and audit inquiries. * Stakeholder Communication - drive strategic communications across all echelons. Articulate the value of advanced analytics, data security, and enterprise data strategy to Flag Officers, SES members, and key external stakeholders, fostering a data-driven culture. * Executive Reporting & Predictive Modeling - execute advanced, in-depth data analytics-including quantitative, statistical, comparative, and predictive modeling-to identify systemic trends and operational friction points. Translate massive datasets into compelling, executive-ready visualizations, interactive charts, and strategic briefs that directly inform Flag-level operational decisions. * Strategic Business Cases - formulate data-driven business cases and strategic justifications for new analytics capabilities. Prepare comprehensive use cases and executive reports to secure buy-in and resourcing from senior leadership for programmatic data solutions. Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (or 5+ years of relevant experience). * Seven (7) years of professional work experience related to database management, database administration, data analysis, numerical analysis, predictive modeling, data manipulation techniques, and/or business optimization tools. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. * Experience with advanced data analytic software (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, etc). * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Good verbal and written communication skills. * High reliability and demonstrated personal initiative. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments. * Active Secret DoD clearance, plus familiarity with handling restrictions (CUI, NOFORN, etc.) for sensitive documents. Desired Education and Experience * Navy ship, submarine or aircraft operational experience (to include involvement with maintenance needs, requirements and processes) * Experience working with or at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Work Location: Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC.
