Job description

Global Automotive Supplier motivated to hire Quality Engineer for Columbus operation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintenance of the Management System.
  • Ensuring the effectiveness of new and existing processes to allow for problem prevention.
  • Perform PPAP of new and existing product.
  • Represents QM department in APQP activities.
  • Development and control of documentation for product and processes (QM plan, PFMEA, Inspection forms, etc).
    Internal auditing (LPA, QMS, CAR related audits).
  • Customer contact including but not limited to: all non-conformance related activities,
  • PPAP, audits & visitations.
  • Driving the corrective action response system for internal and external concerns.
  • Travel to customers as a representative of company
  • Communication of activities to appropriate internal staff.
  • Training of staff in principles and methods.
  • Supervision of staff, depending upon org chart.
  • Analysis of data using statistical control principles.

REQUIREMENTS
  • B.S. degree in related engineering discipline or experience equivalent required (expert knowledge acquired 5+ years)
  • 3+ years Engineering experience in an manufacturing environment
