Job description

Key Responsibilities and Technical Contributions:

The candidate will play a critical role in supporting business insights, reporting modernization efforts, data engineering activities, and knowledge transfer for Freestyle analytics platforms.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that communicate key business and operational metrics

• Building, optimizing, and supporting Power BI semantic models, measures, calculations, and row-level security (RLS)

• Leveraging DAX, Power Query (M), SQL, and data modeling techniques to create scalable and reusable analytical solutions

• Supporting data engineering activities, including data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data validation, troubleshooting, and migration efforts

• Partnering with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and deliver actionable insights

• Supporting ongoing reporting and analytics modernization initiatives, including Redshift and Microsoft Fabric-related activities

• Assisting with production support, root cause analysis, data reconciliation, and issue resolution across reporting and analytical platforms

• Creating and maintaining documentation for dashboards, data models, pipelines, business logic, and operational processes

• Participating in knowledge transfer activities to ensure continuity of critical reporting, analytics, and data engineering capabilities

Top Required Skills and Competencies:

• Strong Power BI experience, including dashboard development, data modeling, DAX, Power Query (M), semantic models, and report optimization

• Experience implementing and supporting Row-Level Security (RLS)

• Strong SQL skills, including querying, data validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization

• Experience working with enterprise data platforms such as Amazon Redshift, Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, or similar technologies

• Understanding of analytics engineering, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT concepts

• Experience troubleshooting data quality issues and supporting production reporting environments

• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI), predictive analytics, and how modern analytics platforms support AI use cases

 

Preferred Skills:

• Microsoft Fabric experience including Lakehouse, Warehouse, Semantic Models, and Data Factory components

• Experience supporting connected equipment, IoT, telemetry, operational, or high-volume event data

• Experience with Python, Spark, or automation scripting

• Experience supporting data migrations and platform modernization initiatives
