Prestigious Global Firm is currently seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer with strong Power BI and Databricks experience. Candidate will work within a core BI team responsible for delivering business-facing analytics products, primarily dashboards and light data models on the Data Engineering team. The focus is on the front-end BI layer, this is not a data engineering role. Candidate will work in the end-user analytics and reporting space, partnering with product managers and business stakeholders to gather requirements, shape reporting needs, and translate those into deliverables that engineering teams can support.
Responsibilities:

Designing and building Power BI dashboards and reports
Developing semantic/data models where needed
Translating business requirements into technical specifications
Partnering with stakeholders (Finance, Marketing, etc.) to define KPIs
Collaborating with data engineers when new data ingestion is required
Supporting migration from legacy tools (Cognos, SSRS)
Breakdown: ~80% hands-on development, ~20% stakeholder engagement
Deliver high-quality, production-ready dashboards
Effectively partner with stakeholders to define and execute reporting needs
Contribute to migration of legacy reporting into Power BI
Technologies:

Power BI as the primary reporting platform
Databricks (or similar cloud platform) as the data foundation
Data is generally clean and curated, but gaps may require coordination with data engineering
Organization is moving toward a model where most logic lives upstream, so this role is more visualization-focused vs heavy backend modeling
Qualifications:

-5 years designing and delivering enterprise BI solutions
-Bachelors Degree
-Databricks or data platform exposure
-Strong Power BI expertise (critical) - Experience with one or more additional enterprise BI platforms such as Tableau, Cognos, Looker, or Qlik is also acceptable, provided the candidate is willing and able to develop deep Power BI expertise.
-Strong SQL and Data querying skills
-Experience building semantic models, Advanced dashboards using DAX and Power Query data modeling, visualization best practices
-Experience working directly with business stakeholders
-Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., Databricks (preferred), Snowflake, Azure Synapse etc.)
Preferred Experience:

Legal industry experience
Professional services background
Experience in BI modernization or migration efforts
Certifications - PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) or DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer)
