The Director, Tech Portfolio, Investment, and Transformation Management leads technology portfolio management, investment governance, and Transformation initiative alignment across the Tech. This role collaborates closely with business portfolio teams, Segment CIOs, Tech Finance, Transformation Office partners, initiative owners, and technology delivery leaders to align demand, investments, transformation initiatives, and execution priorities to enterprise and segment strategies.

The Director, Tech Portfolio, Investment, and Transformation Management organizes, governs, prioritizes, sequences, and monitors technology initiatives, programs, transformation initiatives, and portfolio investments based on the Tech strategy, enterprise transformation priorities, strategic roadmaps, business portfolio alignment, available funding, prioritized budgets, delivery capacity, and value realization expectations.

This role leads portfolio and investment management processes, including investment governance, demand intake, prioritization, sequencing, annual portfolio review, business portfolio alignment, initiative health monitoring, and portfolio performance management. The Director ensures appropriate financial, organizational, operational, and technology support is allocated to initiatives in support of enterprise and segment goals.

The Director also serves as a key interface for Transformation programs, supporting transformation initiative execution within Technology, initiative alignment, executive-level reporting, and consistent ways of working across portfolio, investment, and transformation management processes. Decisions are typically related to implementation of new or updated programs, large-scale initiatives, transformation programs, portfolio governance processes, investment prioritization, technical and operational procedures, and strategic execution plans. The Director supports and implements strategic plans, drives goals and objectives, improves performance, strengthens portfolio controls, enables value realization, and provides input into functional strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • LeadPortfolio & Investment Managementacross Technology, ensuring alignment of technology investments, enterprise priorities, transformation initiatives, and business portfolio objectives.

  • Establish and manageInvestment Governance, including demand governance, funding alignment, intake standards, prioritization methods, sequencing decisions, and portfolio decision forums.

  • Overseeintake, prioritization, and sequencingof technology initiatives, ensuring work is evaluated based on strategic alignment, business value, financial impact, capacity, risk, dependencies, and execution readiness.

  • Partner with business portfolio teams, Segment CIOs, Tech Finance, Transformation Office partners, and initiative owners to ensurealignmentand transparency across demand, investments, and execution.

  • Lead the portfolio reviewprocess, including evaluation of existing and proposed investments, alignment to strategic priorities, funding requirements, initiative health, delivery readiness, and expected value realization.

  • ManagePerformance Management & Value Realization, including tracking business outcomes, value commitments, leading and lagging indicators, delivery progress, financial performance, and benefits realization.

  • Serve as a liaison with business segments to support value tracking, portfolio performance reviews, initiative escalation, and alignment of technology execution to segment priorities.

  • Own and enhancePortfolio Controls, Dashboards, and Initiative Health Dashboards, providing executive-level visibility into portfolio performance, risk, dependencies, financials, delivery progress, and transformation initiative status.

  • Define and implement portfolio operating rhythms, governance routines, escalation paths, decision rights, and portfolio controls that support disciplined execution and transparency.

  • Act as an interface with theTransformation Office, ensuring alignment between transformation strategy, mapped initiatives, investment priorities, delivery execution, and value realization.

  • Lead and/or coordinatetransformation initiative execution in Technology, ensuring initiatives are appropriately governed, staffed, funded, sequenced, monitored, and reported.

  • Drive consistentWays of Workingacross portfolio management, investment governance, transformation execution, initiative intake, prioritization, sequencing, performance management, and executive reporting.

  • Partner with Finance to ensure investment decisions are informed by cost, value, affordability, strategic alignment, and expected return.

  • Provide leadership for portfolio management processes, tools, reporting, operating models, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Implement strategic plans, drive portfolio goals and objectives, improve performance, and provide input into functional strategy.

  • Lead large-scale, highly visible programs, initiatives, and governance processes requiring coordination across multiple teams, functions, and senior stakeholders.

  • Experience developing and managing executive-level portfolio dashboards, initiative health reporting, performance metrics, and value realization reporting.

  • Experience partnering with senior leaders, business segments, finance, transformation teams, and technology delivery organizations.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead governance routines, portfolio controls, operating rhythms, escalation processes, and cross-functional ways of working.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence across functions and segments, manage competing priorities, and drive alignment among senior stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of technology delivery, enterprise planning, financial management, portfolio performance, and strategic execution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other Advanced Degree

  • Possess a solid understanding of operations, technology, communications and processes

  • Agile, Lean Portfolio Management, SAFe, or related portfolio/transformation certification.

  • Demonstrated ability to run large-scale, highly visible programs with responsibility for multiple project teams.

  • Experience working with enterprise strategy execution function.

  • Experience leading annual portfolio review, investment governance, value realization, and initiative health reporting processes.

  • Experience building or maturing portfolio controls, executive dashboards, governance forums, and cross-functional ways of working.

  • Experience mapping transformation strategy to technology execution plans, investment portfolios, and measurable business outcomes.

Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
