Job Overview

Automotive Development Group Inc. is seeking two experienced Senior Project Managers to lead the full lifecycle delivery of complex automotive service facility projects nationwide. Reporting directly to the Construction Director, this role is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction planning through final closeout—ensuring financial performance, schedule adherence, quality standards, safety compliance, and exceptional client satisfaction.

This position offers full project ownership with financial accountability and strategic oversight. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced commercial construction environment, builds strong subcontractor partnerships across regions, and delivers projects on time, on budget, and to company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership & Execution
    • Lead assigned projects from pre-construction through final completion (“cradle to grave”).

    • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with GCs and ownership.

    • Develop and manage detailed project schedules to ensure timely execution of all phases.

    • Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies.

    • Resolve project challenges efficiently to maintain schedule and client confidence.

    • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to defined quality standards.

  • Financial & Performance Management
    • Own full project P&L accountability, including profitability, forecasting, and cost control.

    • Perform task-level profitability analysis and hold field teams accountable to production targets.

    • Ensure purchase orders are executed prior to initiating work.

    • Verify monthly invoicing aligns with approved POs and signed change orders.

    • Manage scope changes through formal documentation and approved change management processes.

    • Protect project margins while optimizing value.

  • Team & Resource Management
    • Build, lead, and manage cross-functional teams including Superintendents, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and consultants.

    • Recruit, negotiate, and manage trade partners to support project demands nationwide.

    • Continuously expand and strengthen a scalable subcontractor network.

    • Partner with Procurement to coordinate equipment and material deliveries.

    • Coach and mentor field leadership to support performance and professional growth.

  • Communication & Reporting
    • Serve as the primary liaison to GCs, owners, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

    • Provide weekly and monthly project status reports outlining milestones, risks, financial updates, and progress metrics.

    • Lead weekly safety meetings with construction crews.

    • Present updates in Construction Management and Sales/Construction coordination meetings.

    • Maintain organized and up-to-date project documentation in company systems.

  • Process & Quality Assurance
    • Ensure strict adherence to company construction processes and quality standards.

    • Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and internal safety protocols.

    • Uphold best practices in scheduling, procurement, documentation, and change management.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive senior-level construction project management experience.

  • Proven experience managing Automotive Service Facility construction projects preferred.

  • Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously with full financial accountability.

  • Strong expertise in scope development, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and resource planning.

  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across diverse geographic markets.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.

  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Approximately 20% travel required to support nationwide projects.
