Job description

Content Strategy Director

Full‑time. 2‑3 days office/remote, Northeast U.S. region. 0‑25% travel for client meetings, conferences, film shoots, speaker programs. Lead development of educational and promotional initiatives for pharmaceutical clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Content Development and Leadership — Develop strategic recommendations that align client objectives with healthcare provider needs; lead discovery sessions, strategic planning meetings, and client workshops; identify opportunities to improve engagement, education, and field effectiveness.
  • Content Development — Lead the creation of educational and promotional content across multiple channels; build and lead content team including medical writers, educators, and editors; review strategic imperatives from brand teams and develop strategy and support pitch material creation; ensure scientific accuracy while maintaining audience engagement and clarity.
  • Client Leadership — Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to pharmaceutical and biotech clients; present recommendations, concepts, and content directly to brand teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration — Partner with Account Services, Project Management, Creative, Medical, and Digital teams; mentor junior strategists, writers, and content developers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing, medical communications, healthcare advertising, or healthcare education.
  • Strong presentation and client‑facing skills.
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and content development abilities.
  • Agency experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PharmD, RN, PA, NP, or related healthcare discipline) preferred.
  • Experience with peer‑to‑peer education, speaker bureaus, advisory boards, or medical education programs.
  • Cross‑functional experience across commercial, medical affairs, and market‑access.
