Job description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee finance operations for a portfolio of managed properties.
  • Prepare or review deliverables including the monthly financial package, cash flow forecasts, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Make recommendations and implement strategic changes in operations, budgets, and contracts.
  • Collaborate with operations team to understand top objectives and establish goals, KPIs and strategy.
  • Oversee accounting transitions and liaise between Accounting and Tax teams for year-end filings.
  • Oversee operations budget to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements.
  • Review weekly and monthly payroll expenses.
  • Research and perform market and investment analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with financial and operational controls.
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Lead Revenue Management team to strategize and price for maximum revenue.
  • Identify and analyze significant variances from budgeted results and participate in the development of annual projections.
  • Conduct internal audit fieldwork and prepare internal audit reports and support annual external audit as applicable.
Job Requirements:
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Position requires 5 years of experience.
  • Position requires domestic and international travel approximately 60% of time.
  • Must have experience in:
    • Managing budget of at least $400 million and raising debt and equity for deal sizes of $100+ Million.
    • Revenue management and dynamic pricing models for the golf, marina, and hospitality industries.
    • Understanding of golf course design and techniques such as Capillary Bunkers and Better Billy Bunker.
    • Working with CPAs, Accountants, Cost Segregation studies, 1031 exchanges and Section 179D tax code.
    • Reviewing AIA agreements with contractors, architects, negotiating insurance requirements with lenders, and working with city appraisers to negotiate Real Estate Taxes.
    • Working with purchasing programs such as Provista and Avendra.
    • Knowledge of how to integrate systems such as Oracle, Springer Miller, and Jonas.
