The Director of Contracts will be responsible for all aspects of the contracting process, including proposals, negotiation, award, administration, and closeout. The Director of Contracts will interface with MIOS Executive Management, government, and/or customers and provide guidance to the companyโ€™s management team on contractual matters.


Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Contracts on workflow metrics to help manage
  • Support the Vice President of Contracts, as needed, on international matters, export controls, and other corporate compliance
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Contract in the management of any legal proceedings with internal and/or outside legal counsel (e.g., protests, claims, other litigation).
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Contracts to create and/or amend Contracts policies to facilitate company
  • Work directly with SBU Presidents, program managers, and the Finance Dept in executing the contracting process from formation through
  • Interface and communicate with the C-Suite on high-level contract issues and provide advice on resolutions.
  • Analyze requests for proposals (RFPs) and solicitations and ensure SBU and subsidiary senior management are appropriately briefed on all significant terms and risks.
  • Analyze, interpret, and advise senior leadership and direct reports on federal government regulations, including FAR and DFAR, while ensuring compliance with DCAA/DCMA
  • Participate in the development of associated proposals in conjunction with pricing and proposal management team members.
  • Facilitate and coordinate negotiations of contracts directly with the government contracting officer and/or customer.
  • Administer contracts in accordance with company policies, applicable laws, customer requirements, and sound business
  • Prepare and negotiate strategic agreements, teaming agreements, significant sub- contracts, and commercial
  • Interface with various governmental agencies on related issues and provide guidance, advice, and action on such matters to senior
  • Manage or provide support in the various reporting processes (e.g., CSR, GSA FAS, GSA CPRM, ).
  • Manage the assigned Contracts team, specifically providing guidance and direction to Contracts Managers, Sr. Contracts Administrators, and/or Contracts Administrators.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, development, and evaluation of team Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • 7+ years of experience of progressive Contracts Management leadership experience within a federal government contracting (GovCon) environment, including demonstrated leadership at the Director or Head of Contracts level, with deep expertise in FAR/DFARS compliance, contract lifecycle oversight, and managing complex prime and subcontract portfolios.
  • 12+ years of direct government contract administration experience, to include:
    • Direct government contract administration
    • Responding to government solicitations (RFP, RFQ, BAAs, and other requests)
    • Managing large contracting efforts with multiple subcontracts and team members
    • CPFF, T&M, ID/IQ, MACs, and contracts awarded under the GSA schedules
    • Teaming Agreements, Proprietary Information Agreements, and Non-Disclosure Agreements
  • International business (i.e., registering and obtaining business licenses, obtaining tax exemptions, Export Compliance, and FCPA vetting)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of FAR / DFAR/ ITAR, provisions, terms, and conditions of government contract documents
  • Knowledgeable in contract dispute resolution, including drafting requests for equitable adjustments, and supporting subsidiaries in the claim and protest process, coordinating information gathering needed by internal and/or outside legal
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well within a
  • Excellent skills in time management, setting priorities, and providing guidance to other contractors
  • Familiarity with commercial contracting regulations and
  • Thorough knowledge of all appropriate ethical standards regarding contracting
