Job description

Position Overview

We are growing! The Autism Commission on Quality (ACQ) is a nonprofit accreditation agency for organizations offering applied behavior analysis services to individuals and families impacted by autism, and we are looking for two additional Accreditation Reviewers.

ACQ is a subsidiary of the Council of Autism Service Providers (CASP), a nationally recognized 501(c)(6) nonprofit trade association for autism service providers, with over 450 members serving over 150,000 individuals impacted by autism.

The Accreditation Reviewer independently evaluates healthcare organizations against the Autism Commission on Quality (ACQ) Standards. Through rigorous document reviews, interviews, and critical analysis, the Reviewer ensures compliance while protecting the integrity, consistency, and independence of the accreditation process. This role requires strong clinical and operational judgment, exceptional technical writing, and the ability to apply standards objectively across diverse providers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of applications, policies, and clinical data to assess conformance with ACQ Standards.
  • Identify evidence gaps and conduct virtual interviews with executive, clinical, and operational leadership to clarify findings.
  • Prepare objective, well-supported accreditation reports documenting organizational strengths, risks, and recommendations; present findings to ACQ leadership and committees.
  • Participate in investigations, focused reviews, complaints, and reviewer calibration meetings while maintaining strict neutrality and confidentiality.
  • Stay current on ABA practices, healthcare regulations, ethics, and industry trends to actively contribute to the continuous improvement of ACQ resources.
  • Effectively manage concurrent reviews, meeting strict timelines, administrative documentation requirements, and quality benchmarks.

Core Competencies

  • Exceptional critical analysis and evidence-based decision-making skills.
  • Superior technical writing, interviewing, and collaborative verbal communication.
  • High degree of professional judgment, integrity, neutrality, and attention to detail.
  • Strong organization, time management, and adaptability when managing multiple timelines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of leadership, clinical, compliance, quality improvement, or operational experience within an ABA healthcare setting.
  • Deep knowledge of ABA service delivery, clinical documentation, supervision, ethics, and quality systems.
  • Proven technical writing proficiency with the ability to synthesize large volumes of documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BCaBA or BCBA in good standing.
  • Experience leading multi-site ABA organizations, quality audits, compliance investigations, or formal accreditations.
  • Familiarity with telehealth operations, healthcare technology platforms, and state/federal regulations affecting ABA providers.

Performance Expectations

  • Manage a consistent caseload while delivering high-quality reports requiring minimal supervisor revision.
  • Apply ACQ standards uniformly and maintain professional, objective applicant interactions.
  • Actively contribute to internal ACQ quality improvement initiatives.

Salary Range

$70,000 - $90,000, based on relevant experience and qualifications
