Join us as a Model Risk Senior Analyst
Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Model Risk Senior Analyst to join the Enterprise Model Risk Management (EMRM) team. EMRM is a multi-disciplinary team within Operational Risk that uses applied concepts in econometrics, financial forecasting, balance sheet management, capital liquidity, and financial regulatory requirements management to evaluate firm-wide models, machine learning algorithms, and Gen-AI use cases. The team also plays a key role in the Firm's AI governance framework.
In this role you will be part of a dynamic team independently evaluating models supporting a variety of business activities such as anti-money laundering and sanctions compliance screening, financial and investment risk management, and Gen-AI-enabled processes. You will have the opportunity to work closely with business teams and technical support functions covering a broad range of activities and technologies, including high-profile strategic initiatives with exposure to senior leadership.
The role requires a detail-oriented and analytical thinker with a background in computer programming and/or mathematics with the knowledge and skills to decompose, evaluate, and interpret the functionality of various computational models. The position requires understanding of computer programming, quantitative modeling, and the ability to grasp risk management principles.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
- Lead and/or contribute to model validation engagements, including scoping, test planning, milestones, and stakeholder coordination.

- Draft validation reports and executive summaries for senior audiences and Oversight Committees.
- Oversee tracking and monitoring of remediation activities.
- Ensure project documentation is consistent with EMRM standards for content, clarity, and auditability.
- Recommend enhancements to Model Risk policies, procedures, and standards.
- Contribute to evolving Gen-AI and LLM-focused model validation methodologies.
- Build effective working relationships across business, compliance, and technology teams.
Qualifications

- Strong writing and experience briefing technical findings.
What We Offer:
- A collaborative environment that enables you to step outside your role to add value wherever you can.
- Direct access to clients, information, and experts across all business areas around the world.
- Opportunities to grow your expertise, take on new challenges, and reinvent yourself-without leaving the firm.
