Infectious Disease Program Director opening in Dayton, OH (Permanent)
This is a permanent position.
Opportunity Details:
Leadership role directing an Infectious Disease fellowship program
Oversee daily operations, curriculum development, faculty engagement, and accreditation compliance
Lead recruitment of fellowship candidates, including interviews and selection process
Provide direct clinical care while maintaining a strong commitment to medical education
Mentor fellows, residents, and students, fostering professional growth and competency achievement
Ensure adherence to ACGME standards, institutional policies, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate across departments to strengthen residency and fellowship education system-wide
Participate in program evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives
Opportunity to contribute to academic medicine, research, and innovation in patient care
Requirements:
MD or DO degree with board certification in Infectious Disease
Minimum 10 years of clinical experience
Minimum 5 years of medical education or administrative leadership experience
Active medical license
Comprehensive knowledge of ACGME standards and GME regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in academic medicine and clinical research
Previous leadership roles within residency or fellowship programs
