Permanent Opportunity – Division Head, Hematology/Oncology & Associate Medical Director (Cancer Service Line)Location: Detroit, MichiganPosition OverviewAn accomplished Hematology/Oncology leader is sought to serve as Division Head – Hematology/Oncology and Associate Medical Director of the Cancer Service Line within the nationally recognized Cancer InstituteThis executive leadership role focuses on strategic growth, academic excellence, clinical quality, and research innovation across a large multi-hospital cancer program within a $13 billion integrated academic health system.

Leadership Scope
  • Lead the Hematology/Oncology Division within the Medical Group
  • Provide executive leadership across the Cancer Service Line
  • Oversee 40+ full-time academic hematology/oncology physicians
  • Strategic oversight of $1B+ annual Gross Patient Revenue (GPR)
  • Direct clinical, academic, and research programs in hematology and oncology
  • Oversee integration and expansion of oncology services across five hospitals and multiple ambulatory sites
  • Provide leadership to:
    • Bone Marrow Transplant program
    • Infusion services
    • Systemwide oncology programs
Strategic and Academic Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Department of Medicine Chair and cancer leadership on strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Michigan State University partnership
  • Expand:
    • Investigator-initiated clinical trials
    • Precision medicine initiatives
    • Population health programs
  • Mentor faculty and early-career investigators
  • Support fellowship training and graduate medical education
