The Senior Manager of Clinical Workforce Development is responsible for overseeing and advancing Rogers Behavioral Health's clinical workforce development efforts by leading doctoral internship and practicum training programs, workforce pathway initiatives, educational partnerships, and clinical leadership development. This role ensures the continued excellence and accreditation of Rogers' APA-accredited doctoral psychology internship program while supporting the recruitment, development, retention, and advancement of current and future direct care professionals, clinicians, and leaders across the organization.
Working collaboratively with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, operational leadership, and academic partners, the Senior Manager implements and supports clinical workforce development initiatives that strengthen Rogers' ability to attract, develop, and retain high-quality behavioral health professionals. The position serves as a key partner in operationalizing workforce development strategies and advancing student, trainee, and employee development from initial engagement through career progression and leadership readiness.Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Doctoral Internship Program Leadership
- Maintain APA accreditation and compliance requirements.
- Provide leadership and oversight of the doctoral psychology internship program.
- Direct internship recruitment, selection, supervision, training, and evaluation processes.
- Lead the Internship Training Committee and maintain relationships with APPIC, APA, and relevant professional organizations.
- Ensure high-quality, competency-based training experiences that prepare interns for professional practice and leadership opportunities within Rogers.
Practicum Program Leadership
- Oversee the design, quality, and consistency of master's-level practicum training experiences.
- Maintain relationships with university training programs and faculty partners.
- Establish and monitor practicum training standards, supervision expectations, and learning objectives to ensure alignment with regulatory, academic, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
- Promote high-quality trainee experiences that support workforce conversion and retention goals.
- Collaborate with operational leaders and practicum supervisors to support meaningful, developmentally appropriate, and standardized training experiences across service lines and levels of care.
Clinical Workforce Development & Pathways
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and organizational leaders to implement and advance enterprise clinical workforce development initiatives.
- Coordinate and support workforce pathway initiatives, including high school partnerships, experiential learning opportunities, student-to-career pathways, career mobility programs, and community-based workforce development initiatives that expand access to behavioral health careers.
- Implement and support initiatives designed to increase engagement, conversion, and retention of trainees, students, and early-career professionals.
- Serve as Rogers' primary liaison for educational and workforce development partners, coordinating practicum placements, experiential learning opportunities, and workforce pathway initiatives.
- Monitor workforce development outcomes, including trainee conversion, retention, career advancement, and workforce pathway effectiveness.
- Collect, analyze, and report workforce development data to inform continuous improvement efforts and support organizational workforce goals.
Clinical Leadership & Supervisor Development
- Partner with Learning & Development and operational leaders to implement and support leadership pathway initiatives.
- Develop and deliver resources, training experiences, and mentorship opportunities that strengthen supervisory effectiveness.
- Assist in identifying and developing emerging clinical leaders.
- Other duties as assigned.

Physical/Mental Demands:- Excellent communication skills required to understand and relate to community representatives, department managers, Hospital medical and clinical staff, Hospital CEO, and Board of Directors. This includes willingness and ability to provide presentations to assist with clinical training needs.
- Able to understand and communicate using medical terminology.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Able to use initiative and judgment to organize, plan activities, formulate policies, delegate responsibility and make decisions affecting diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Must be able to relate to people in a manner to win their confidence and establish rapport. Must have strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with interns, internal leaders, and professional organization representatives.
- Verbal and hearing ability required to interact with community representatives, patients and employees. Numerical ability required to maintain records and operate a computer.
- Must be able to read and communicate through written, verbal and auditory skills and abilities.
- Position requires walking, sitting and standing. Work is performed inside the building and is physically light. Lifting is moderate; must be capable of lifting a minimum of 20 pounds. Reaching, handling, grasping and manual dexterity are necessary to operate various office equipment.
- Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in a psychology related field (e.g., clinical psychology, counseling psychology) or Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) licensed in at least one state in which the interns are based.
- Administrative or supervisory experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
- Five years or more experience in providing clinical supervision.
- Experience in university relationship development preferred.
- Marketing, patient development and/or community relations related experience preferred.
