In this role you will be responsible for successful lead generation and move ins from the community at large to the community. The Business Development Director targets referral sources and other community resources from among the professional medical community, various community associations for the purposes of promoting services and on-site assessment of prospective residents.  The primary responsibility will be to manage relationships of key referral sources and other community resources for the purpose of: educating referral sources to our products and services and to expedite care coordination and follow-up to ensure successful resident transition. 

Job Description
  • Create, plan and implement with Sales and Marketing Team and Resident Program Director events to bring in prospective residents such as but not limited to: seminars, speakers, themed events, and family nights.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with residents, families and professional providers of care.   
  • Define and develop key macro referral sources and maintains relationships with them working closely with the Sales teams - handle the customer service aspects of a new referral or service issue.
  • Generate the required number of professional referrals needed for the community to achieve the move-ins required to meet financial expectations. 
  • Provide ongoing product-service education as a result of sales effort within the marketing to trade organizations, hospital departments, physicians and others
  • Participate in professional societies and activities related to senior-living industry as appropriate.
  • Work with Director of Community Relations Director and Executive Director to develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plan to achieve quarterly move-in objectives.
  • Plan and execute territory call objectives to build and maintain multiple senior-related community resource networks.
  • Communicate in timely manner with the Executive Director, Divisional Director of Sales and Marketing, and Community Relations Director regarding initiatives in progress that may generate referrals to the community.
  • Manage and maintain a thorough working proficiency and keeps professional contact records current in the sales database.
  • Fully comprehend and can explain to others the basic legal aspects of sales contracts, language and terms.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all software programs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent information.
  • Provide assistance to the Community Relations Director with special assigned projects. 
  • Possess strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Qualifications

Level of Formal Education: Bachelor degree from a four-year college or university

Years of Experience: 2-3+ years

Type of Experience: Previous sales/admission experience in senior living

Language Skills: Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with all others.
