Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing Services to join our care team at The Oxford Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Haverhill. As a Director of Nursing Services, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of our nursing services department.
About The Oxford:
The Oxford is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility specializing in caring for residents with substance use disorders. The ideal candidate has a background in SUDS/behaviorals and is comfortable working in the setting, but we can train the right candidate! No union. Very limited number of open nursing/aide hours. All other nursing leadership roles are filled.
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing service department, according to state and federal guidelines and scope of patient care.
  • Maintain and review, and have input to development of all clinical policies and procedures.
  • Determine the staffing needs of the nursing service department, making recommendations to the Administrator, necessary to meet the needs of the residents.
  • Oversee licensed nursing staff, develop work assignments and schedules, and assist with daily rounds and visual inspections.
  • Review satisfaction of care and services with interviews with families and residents.
  • Develop and maintain an on-call program for the nursing department.
  • Assist with quality improvement initiatives and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
  • CPR certified.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a nursing leadership role required (DNS, ADNS, Staff Development, etc.).
  • Prior experience with SUDS of behavioral preferred.

Compensation:
  • Salaried role with weekly pay ranging from $150,000 to $170,000, based on experience.
