Job description

Position Summary
The Executive Director of Revenue Cycle Performance & Analytics is responsible for leading the strategic oversight, performance optimization, analytics, and transformation initiatives across the health system's revenue cycle operations. Reporting directly to the CFO, this leader partners closely with operational, financial, clinical, and executive leadership to improve financial performance, enhance patient financial experience, strengthen revenue integrity, and drive data-informed revenue cycle decision-making throughout the organization.
This role provides enterprise leadership for revenue cycle analytics, key performance indicators, benchmarking, reporting, and performance improvement initiatives spanning patient access, health information management, coding, billing, claims management, denials, collections, and reimbursement optimization.
The Executive Director serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership and helps ensure the health system achieves sustainable financial performance while supporting FirstHealth's core purpose and values.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, Business, Information Systems, or related field required.

Experience
  • Minimum of 8-10 years progressive healthcare revenue cycle leadership experience.
  • Experience within a large integrated health system or academic medical center preferred.
  • Strong background in healthcare finance, analytics, revenue cycle operations, and performance improvement.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale operational transformation initiatives.
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership and governing boards.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Deep understanding of hospital and physician revenue cycle operations.
  • Strong expertise in Epic revenue cycle applications and analytics.
  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies including Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and value-based payment models.
  • Expertise in revenue cycle KPI development and benchmarking.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and financial modeling capabilities.
  • Proficiency with business intelligence and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, or equivalent platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership, relationship-building, and change management capabilities.
