Description

The Director of Talent serves as an internal executive recruiter and trusted talent advisor. This role partners closely with ensemble leaders to understand each team's unique talent needs and proactively source high-performing, hard-to-find professionals. In addition, the Director of Talent leads broader talent strategy initiatives, including compensation design, career pathing, and talent analytics. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the primary talent partner to ensemble leaders, acting as an internal headhunter for specialized, leadership, and hard-to-fill positions
  • Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to identify and engage top talent through networking, referrals, market mapping, social media, and direct outreach
  • Build and maintain robust pipelines of high-potential and passive candidates
  • Provide market intelligence regarding talent availability, compensation trends, and competitive hiring practices
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience that reflects the organization's culture and values
  • Partner with leadership to develop and refine compensation structures that support recruitment, retention, and organizational growth
  • Conduct market benchmarking and compensation analysis to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices
  • Advise leaders on compensation recommendations for new hires, promotions, and retention strategies
  • Partner with leaders to define competencies, career levels, progression criteria, and clear development pathways
  • Facilitate talent review discussions and identify opportunities for internal mobility
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in executive recruiting, talent acquisition, talent management, or workforce strategy
  • Experience in the financial services industry a plus
  • Strong communication skills required with the ability to build rapport and influence, lead, and develop others
  • Experience with prospecting and generating leads
  • Advanced knowledge of sourcing platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc)
  • Demonstrated ability to network and form quick relationships
  • Experience designing compensation recommendations, career frameworks, and talent strategies
