Job Summary: The Director of Strategic Initiatives serves as a strategic partner to the CEO, leading high-priority projects, cross-functional initiatives, and organizational priorities that drive business objectives forward. This role combines strong project management expertise, executive-level communication skills, and operational leadership to ensure initiatives are executed effectively and aligned with company goals. Acting as a liaison across departments, the Director of Strategic Initiatives tracks progress, drives accountability, facilitates communication, and removes obstacles to execution while also providing high-level executive support as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage strategic projects and company initiatives on behalf of the CEO and executive leadership team.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, deliverables, and accountability measures to ensure successful execution.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts among departments to drive alignment and completion of strategic objectives.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks or roadblocks, and recommend solutions proactively.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, meeting materials, and status updates.
  • Track action items, decisions, and follow-up commitments from leadership meetings and strategic discussions.
  • Facilitate communication between executive leadership and internal stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Support organizational planning, operational improvements, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Conduct research, gather data, and provide analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning.
  • Assist the CEO in prioritizing initiatives, requests, and competing business demands.
  • Coordinate and support leadership meetings, including agenda development and documentation of outcomes.
  • Manage select executive scheduling and travel logistics as needed to support business priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on strategic matters.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support evolving business needs and organizational priorities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, business operations, executive support, consulting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional projects and driving initiatives to completion.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level presentations and reports.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • High level of professional discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn new applications and systems.
  • Experience working directly with C-suite executives or senior leadership preferred.
  • Pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, with an insurable driving record and proof of automobile liability and property damage coverage.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Perform work while seated, standing, walking, or moving between locations for extended periods.
  • Use computers and related technology, read electronic and printed materials, and observe details at close range.
  • Communicate clearly in person, by phone, and electronically, and occasionally move light objects or travel to other work locations as business needs require.
  • Drive to work, client sites, and other SafeTouch branches as business needs require.

Job Type: Full-time, exempt

Work/Base Location: Hybrid, within a reasonable driving distance to Jacksonville, FL, or Atlanta, GA. On-site presence at SafeTouch’s Jacksonville corporate headquarters is required for approximately 3 days every 2–3 weeks.

Work Hours/Availability: Daytime, Monday through Friday, and as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.

Travel: May fluctuate based on business needs.

  • Jacksonville: 10-20%
  • Atlanta: 20-30%; travel may be more frequent initially.
