Reporting to the Connected Vehicle Engineering Director, the Leader, Software Product Development Process Transformation is responsible for evolving the practices, processes, methods, and tools supporting the design, development, integration, and validation of connected vehicle solutions.
In an environment where software is a strategic component of BRP products, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of software engineering practices while ensuring their seamless integration into the overall product development lifecycle. Working closely with software, systems, architecture, integration, validation, and project management teams, you will help enhance product quality, delivery predictability, and organizational efficiency.
YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Define and roll out new software product development processes tailored to a centralized group delivering software solutions across all product lines.

  • Align working methods across software, systems, architecture, integration, and validation teams.

  • Drive the implementation of software engineering best practices, requirements management, integration, and validation.

  • Promote the adoption of methodologies and tools that improve quality, efficiency, and cross-team collaboration.

  • Establish the transformation roadmap and lead its execution within the Connected Vehicle group, ensuring consistency and compatibility with product line engineering teams' practices.

  • Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the maturity, efficiency, and quality of development processes.

  • Train, coach, and support teams and managers through change management and the adoption of new practices.

  • Support initiatives related to automation, software quality, and continuous improvement.

YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; 12+ years of relevant experience in software development, including significant experience in process definition or transformation.

  • A strong understanding of the product development lifecycle and cross-disciplinary engineering interactions.

  • Proven experience in process improvement, organizational transformation, or operational excellence.

  • Knowledge of modern software development, quality assurance, and continuous integration practices.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills to align multidisciplinary teams around a shared vision.

  • Clear accountability for delivery and drive to achieve transformation objectives.

ASSETS THAT WILL SET YOU APART:

  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and DevOps platforms (CI/CD pipelines).

  • Experience in connected vehicles, embedded systems, or the automotive/powersports industry.

  • Experience managing multi-product projects within an engineering environment.
