We are seeking an accomplished Director of Nursing โ€“ Emergency Services to lead a high-volume, 24/7 Emergency Department in Florence, Alabama. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced RN Director, Nurse Director, Emergency Department Director, or Nurse Executive to lead clinical operations, drive quality improvement, develop high-performing teams, and shape the future of emergency care.

Our Emergency Department cares for approximately 46,000 patients annually and is supported by a collaborative team of approximately 70 RNs and nursing support staff. The department includes a 36-bed Emergency Department as well as an 8-bed specialized senior emergency care unit designed to provide patient-centered care in a calmer environment.

The Opportunity

As the Director of Nursing โ€“ Emergency Services, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for all aspects of Emergency Department nursing and clinical operations.

You will be responsible for leading a high-performing team while partnering closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, hospital leadership, quality teams, and other service-line leaders.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for Alabama licensure.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in Emergency Services or Emergency Department operations.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with physicians, nurses, providers, and hospital leadership.
  • Experience with budget management, financial oversight, staffing, and resource allocation in an acute care setting.
  • Strong analytical and performance-improvement skills.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required or obtainable within the required timeframe.
