We are looking for a dedicated coach and Christ follower to be the Varsity Softball Pitching Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will run from January 2027 through May 2027. TCA's Athletic Department utilizes sports and competition to teach transformational, life-giving biblical truths to each student-athlete. As a coach you will not only help student athletes improve their softball skills, you will remind them of the importance of academics, instill a Christian work ethic (Col. 3:23) and help strengthen their faith in Christ.
General Responsibilities
  • Assist and attend softball practices during the regular season
  • Assist planning warm-up and conditioning drills for practice
  • Attend Varsity, Junior Varsity and Middle School softball games
  • Assist with ordering for all softball uniforms
  • Assist with softball tryouts for Varsity, Junior Varsity and Middle School
  • Manage miscellaneous items
  • Assist with organizing parent meetings
  • Ability to motivate and improve performance of athletes

Qualifications
  • A strong commitment to the positive development of the softball program at TCA
  • Ability to instill teamwork and community within a group of athletes pointing them to Christ
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with student athletes in softball
  • Knowledge of the sport of softball
  • Ability to build a good rapport with student and parents
  • Agree with and support TCA's Doctrinal, Biblical and Mission statements and Christian values

Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements
  • Eye-hand, mind-eye coordination, physical dexterity
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, jump and run
  • Normal physical demands of coaching
  • Night hours required
