We work directly with 20+ municipalities and 50+ jurisdictions, operate highly regulated facilities in 10+ locations, and have 1,000+ employees.


We are seeking an experienced, successful, and engaged Director of Sales / Operations to join our team. This position is expected to be available to be on-site as needed at the GreenWaste Corporate office in San Jose CA or other GreenWaste facilities across California and limited job-related travel is required in the service area.


Position Summary:


GreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of Director of Sales / Operations to provide support to our sales, operations & finance teams. These functional groups support a portfolio of high-value clients in developing tailored solutions to meet their waste management, recycling and sustainability goals, and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate ensures that all revenue-related teams work cohesively, using consistent processes, data, and technology to maximize revenue opportunities across the entire customer lifecycle. This role is strategic, cross-functional, and data-driven, bridging gaps between departments to create a seamless customer experience and improve operational efficiency.

Sales Operations professionals are critical to driving predictable revenue growth, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring that all revenue-generating teams are aligned toward common goals. By integrating systems, processes, and data, they transform fragmented efforts into a coordinated strategy that enhances customer experience and maximizes revenue opportunities.



Essential Functions and Responsibilities:


  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate sales, marketing, customer success, and finance to ensure unified revenue strategies. 
  • Process Optimization: Streamline workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and implement scalable processes across revenue teams. 
  • Data Management & Analytics: Maintain accurate data across CRM and marketing platforms, analyze performance metrics, and provide actionable insights for decision-making. 
  • Revenue Forecasting: Build and maintain revenue models, track KPIs, and support strategic planning. 
  • Technology Oversight: Manage and optimize commercial technology stacks, ensuring systems communicate effectively and automate key processes. 
  • Customer Lifecycle Management: Support initiatives for lead generation, sales conversion, upsell/cross-sell, renewals, and retention

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Expertise in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and marketing automation tools
  • Project management and process improvement experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to influence cross-functional teams


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, environmental science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for client visits and events.

Language Skill:

 

  • Proficiency in English and/or Spanish 


Physical Demands:
