Job Summary

The Teledyne FLIR Wilsonville operation is a leading manufacturer of advanced surveillance systems supporting defense, government, and commercial customers worldwide. We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Supply Chain to lead procurement, materials management, supplier performance, inventory optimization, and material readiness across the business.

The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies that support business growth, operational excellence, and customer commitments. This role will lead and develop a high-performing team while driving process standardization, supplier performance, inventory management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will collaborate across Operations, Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Finance to ensure predictable execution, scalable growth, and a resilient supply chain organization.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop procurement, commodity management, and materials teams.
  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies that improve material readiness, supplier performance, and operational execution.
  • Drive process excellence through standard work, performance metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop sourcing, commodity, and supplier strategies to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and risk.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and performance.
  • Optimize inventory, material availability, and working capital to support customer commitments.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, shortages, and capacity constraints.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Finance to improve planning and execution.
  • Ensure effective use of SAP and business systems to support decision-making and operational performance.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, government regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Provide leadership for Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse functions as required.
  • Develop organizational capability through coaching, training, and succession planning.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, materials management, or manufacturing operations.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proven success in strategic sourcing, supplier management, inventory optimization, materials planning, and supply chain performance improvement.
  • Experience developing supply chain strategies, driving process improvements, and implementing standardized operating practices.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems (SAP preferred), forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Program Management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, high-technology manufacturing, or other regulated industries preferred.
  • APICS, CPSM, CSCP, Lean, Six Sigma, or related certifications preferred.
