Description of responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the Director of Nursing/ Resident Services Director:
  • Ensure that the community follows all federal, state, local laws and regulations as it pertains to clinical care
  • Partners with executive director to analyze and maintain resident and team member health and safety
  • Partners with pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents
  • Responsible for clinical expertise of licensed nurses
  • Assists with team member education
  • Identifies ongoing needs and services of residents
  • Ensures resident service plans are updated as indicated by state regulations
  • Communicates with resident's family and/or responsible party regarding changes in care or health concerns
  • Participates in community awareness activities and community relations
  • Responsible for ordering clinical supplies
  • Schedules clinical team members
  • Participates in a rotating on-call schedule
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required experience:
  • Current state license as a licensed professional nurse or registered nurse
  • Two (2) years' experience as a licensed nurse
  • One (1) year nurse management experience
  • Experience in senior living, home health, or long-term care
  • Demonstrated competence in assessment skills, injections, medication administration, follow-up and triage
