Director Of Program Management Jobs in Presque Isle, ME

TheUniversity of Maine at Presque Isle is seeking to hire aDirector of Career Services. The Director of Career Services will play a pivotal role in preparing students for successful careers beyond their university experience. They will lead the design, implementation, and assessment of comprehensive career readiness programs that equip students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to thrive in the competitive job market.

This position reports to the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs and collaborates closely with faculty, staff, employers, workforce education, and alumni relations to ensure alignment with industry trends and student needs. The Director serves both a residential campus and a geographically distributed population of online and competency-based learners.

The Director of Career Service functions as the architect of a scalable career services system, building the tools, partnerships, and referral pathways that extend across both student populations.

This position is based in an office setting and follows a Monday through Friday, 40-hour workweek. Schedule flexibility may be established with the supervisor as needed, particularly to accommodate campus events and student consultations.

The salary for this full time position is $60,000.00. The university will take into consideration the salary of current UMS employees for transfer/promotion depending on skills and experience. Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and successful project management skills Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff, students and community organizational representatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• 3 years of experience working in higher education Experience organizing or coordinating internships
• Experience serving online, distance, or adult learners
• Experience in employer relations, partnership development, or workforce engagement
• Familiarity with a career readiness competency framework, such as the NACE competencies
• Ability to work independently and build programs
