Job description

Title/Role: Vice President, Programs
Department: Executive Leadership
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Duties And Responsibilities

  • Execute all programs within contractual requirements to ensure that the project cost, schedule, and technical performance goals are met or exceeded

  • Utilizing Earned Value Management, review and report program financial and schedule status frequently

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong relationships to drive repeat business

  • Manage program budget forecasting, resource planning, and financial performance tracking

  • Identify opportunities to improve profit margins for individual programs and/or processes throughout the organization

  • Lead and mentor a team of program managers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence

  • Collaborate with sales, finance, engineering, planning, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to deliver programs on schedule and within budget[IJ1]

  • Define and execute a long-term strategic vision for program management, including technology roadmaps and market positioning.[IJ2]

  • Drive business development initiatives, including identifying new market opportunities and crafting competitive proposals

  • Ensure compliance with government contracting requirements, industry standards, and regulatory frameworks (AS9100, FAA, DoD)

  • BS degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical) or Business from an accredited university

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification

  • Cost accounting or financial analysis experience preferred

  • Direct experience with military aerospace programs preferred

Work Environment Requirements

  • Office, warehouse, and manufacturing environment
