Job description

Director of Myeloid Malignancies Program

Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies – University of Utah’s Huntsman Cancer Institute.

Position Summary

An associate or full professor‑level faculty member to lead the Myeloid Malignancies Program. The selected individual will primarily work at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and the University of Utah Hospital, and may become Associate Chief of Clinical Research for the division.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and expand the Myeloid Malignancies Program with collaborative research projects having high potential for clinical impact.
  • Mentor early‑stage investigators, including Heme/Onc fellows, to develop a robust translational program.
  • Lead clinical trials, including investigator‑initiated and multicenter cooperative group studies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Hold an M.D. or D.O. degree (or equivalent) with board certification in Hematology or Oncology, and/or a Ph.D.; possessing or being eligible for a Utah medical license.
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and capability within an academic environment.
  • Superb clinical skill set and an extensive clinical research program focused on myeloid malignancies, especially early Phase 1 and 2 clinical trials.
