Senior Director of Process Engineering โ€“ Overview

CHG Healthcare is the leading physicianโ€‘staffing firm in the United States, serving millions of patients each year. We partner with doctors to match them with the right patient care opportunities and are looking for a Senior Director of Process Engineering to drive AIโ€‘enabled technology solutions across our sales ecosystem.

Location & Travel

This position is based in Salt Lake City, UT with flexible remote options for candidates across the United States. Regular travel to CHG offices and division sites may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Lead endโ€‘toโ€‘end process design and documentation for AIโ€‘enabled technology solutions before development and launch.
  • Partner with sales divisions to achieve full alignment on futureโ€‘state process architecture and operating models.
  • Translate strategic business objectives into detailed process requirements that guide technology roadmaps.
  • Establish process governance frameworks and changeโ€‘management protocols to ensure sustainable adoption.
  • Serve as the central orchestrator among business operations, sales SMEs, Lean, and DMO teams.
  • Build relationships with division leaders to understand operational context, pain points, and strategic priorities.
  • Drive consensus and executive buyโ€‘in on process standards, technology decisions, and implementation timelines.
  • Lead process workshops and design sessions with stakeholders across all levels.
  • Translate AI capabilities into practical business process applications that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Design processes that optimize for AIโ€‘native workflows, automation opportunities, and intelligent decision support.
  • Partner with technology teams to convert process requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions.
  • Monitor AI solution performance against process objectives and iterate based on dataโ€‘driven insights.
  • Manage a team of sales subjectโ€‘matter experts (initially 2 direct reports, with growth potential).

Qualifications
  • Deep experience in business process engineering and crossโ€‘functional alignment on complex technology initiatives.
  • Handsโ€‘on experience with AI applications in sales or operations environments.
  • Proven strategic thinking combined with pragmatic execution capabilities.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, build consensus, and translate complex business challenges into clear process solutions.
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable whiteโ€‘boarding futureโ€‘state architectures with division presidents and detailed process mapping with frontline teams.
  • Understanding that technology is an enabler, not the solution itself, with emphasis on sustainable transformation.
Preferred
