Job description

Job Summary
The Director of Player Development works in coordination with the Director of Basketball Operations and the Head Coach to oversee and manage the internal needs and services of student-athletes.
Responsibilities*
- Oversee and assist with the day-to-day personal matters of Student-Athletes
- Assist the Director of Operations with planning weekly and monthly Student-Athlete practices, class and study hall schedules
- Assist the Director of Operations and Compliance Office with all the program needs
- Serve as the admissions contact for incoming Student-Athletes
- Assist with all on-campus recruiting activities
- Serve as the Academic Mentor for the Men's Basketball Student-Athletes
- Assist in parent relations and communications
- Direct and support basketball staff with community service activities
- Assist the Director of Operations with all camp responsibilities
- Assist with all special events including basketball alumni relations
- Arrange training table meals with the Athletic Trainer, Strength Coach, and Dietitian
- Serve as basketball liaison with Equipment Manager and Apparel Provider
- Coordinate with coaching staff a comprehensive improvement plan for each student athlete
Required Qualifications*
- Must demonstrate an understanding of the NCAA Compliance rules.
- Must have NCAA Basketball working and/or playing experience.
- Must have NBA Playing and/or Coaching experience
- Must have four-year college degree
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
- Must be able to interact and communicate with all individuals at all levels of the organization
- Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must work well in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and time sensitive demands.
