The Monarch at Brooklyn Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Business Development to lead our business development and census growth initiatives.

This is an exciting opportunity for a healthcare sales and marketing professional who understands the skilled nursing and rehabilitation industry and has a strong track record of building referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, managed care organizations, and community partners.

The Director of Business Development will develop and execute strategies to increase referrals, strengthen existing partnerships, identify new business opportunities, and support the facility's overall growth objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy focused on census growth and referral generation.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, social workers, case managers, and other referral sources.

  • Identify and develop new referral opportunities within the Brooklyn and surrounding healthcare markets.

  • Conduct regular outreach and facility visits to strengthen referral relationships.

  • Represent the facility at networking events, healthcare organizations, community events, and industry meetings.

  • Collaborate closely with Admissions, Marketing, Nursing, and Administration to ensure a seamless referral and admissions process.

  • Monitor referral trends, market activity, and competitor developments.

  • Develop strategies to increase hospital and community referrals.

  • Track business development activity, referral sources, conversion rates, and census opportunities.

  • Maintain regular communication and follow-up with referral partners.

  • Participate in facility tours and assist with converting prospective referrals into admissions.

  • Develop creative marketing initiatives to increase facility visibility and strengthen the facility's reputation in the community.

  • Provide regular updates to facility leadership regarding business development activities, opportunities, and results.

  • Ensure all marketing and business development activities are conducted professionally and in compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Previous experience in healthcare business development, sales, marketing, admissions, or hospital relations.

  • Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, Hospital, or Post-Acute healthcare experience strongly preferred.

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain referral relationships.

  • Strong understanding of the post-acute healthcare referral and admissions process.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Highly motivated, organized, and results-oriented.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with facility leadership.

  • Strong knowledge of the Brooklyn healthcare market is a plus.
