About Cabana Bay Laundry
Join the team at our state-of-the-art laundry and warehouse facility in Apopka, Florida.
Performs skilled technical work in the maintenance, repair, replacement, and installation of laundry equipment, commercial washers, dryers, conveyors, ironers, folders, boilers and steam press. Supervise and assign work crew.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, computer control systems and components, pneumatic and hydraulic controls and systems boiler and steam distribution and return, air conditioning and the maintenance and repair of all.
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA safety procedures and regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge of utility and sewer systems associated with Laundry operations.
  • Skill in using computer systems for laundry management systems and internal communications.
  • Basic English language communication skills in order to complete logs, read blueprints and mechanical drawings, communicate with co-workers and fully comprehend job assignments.
  • Basic trade mathematical skills.
  • Assists in training other technicians and staff in preventive maintenance of Laundry systems.
  • Prepares records and reports describing procedures, action taken and recommended solutions.
  • Prepares and submits requests for supplies and equipment.
  • Responds to emergency service requests.
  • May supervise work of other technicians.
  • Knowledge of pertinent rules and regulations, guidelines, safety order, departmental operating procedures and safety regulations sufficient to insure that work is performed in compliance with applicable law.
  • Enforces sound safety and OSHA practices.
  • Follows safety rules and procedures; avoid known hazards in the work environment.
  • Reviews safety procedures before beginning each job with known hazards.
  • Work with accounting department to resolve any problem associated with purchase order/receiving tickets.

Qualifications:
  • 5 or more years of experience being responsible for the maintenance of laundry equipment and systems
  • Strong Mechanical Skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Previous training & experience in laundry equipment.
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers.
  • Comfortable with Windows-based software.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence
  • Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow employees.
  • Complies with required safety regulations and procedures.
  • Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules.
  • Experience with diagnosing problems and taking necessary corrective action on all types of Laundry Equipment
  • Valid FL Drivers License
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally with team members, leaders and guests required.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, nights, weekends and holidays as required.
