Job overview:

Schneider is seeking a Director of Operations in Portland to lead teams of customer service and operations associates. The Director of Operations will play a critical role in improving the productivity of Schneider’s fleet and will collaborate with various teams to automate and enhance processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead initiatives to improve the productivity and performance of the business.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to exceed customers’ expectations.
  • Lead the integration of tech enhancements related to driver, customer and operational teams.
  • Create and sustain a high-performance environment through processes and actions.
  • Exercise situational leadership when working with various teams in the organization.
  • Initiate and lead process improvement opportunities.
Skills and qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics or related field required.
  • Minimum seven years of transportation or logistics experience required.
  • Operations background is preferred.
  • Able to foster productive relationships with internal and external customers.
