Director Of Information Services

HJ Staffing is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Information Services to lead the design, development, and delivery of critical healthcare technology systems. This role plays a key part in aligning IT strategy with organizational goals, optimizing system performance, and driving innovation across multiple programs.

The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of healthcare IT expertise, leadership, and operational excellence, with the ability to manage complex initiatives while supporting a high-performing team.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and oversee application services, ensuring efficient planning, prioritization, and resource utilization
  • Analyze and evaluate current systems, identifying opportunities for process improvement and workflow optimization
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while guiding cross-functional teams
  • Partner with business units and senior leadership to align IT initiatives with organizational strategies
  • Establish and monitor end-user support service levels and performance metrics
  • Drive continuous improvement in technology delivery and user experience
  • Recruit, onboard, mentor, and develop high-performing team members
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for direct reports
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership
  • Stay current with healthcare technology trends and recommend innovative, cost-effective solutions
  • Support critical implementations, including occasional extended hours or travel as needed

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • ITIL knowledge or certification preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in an IT leadership role
  • 3+ years of experience managing implementations in complex, multi-site environments
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and forecasting for large departments
  • Deep understanding of healthcare information systems
  • Experience with Epic and related systems strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage customer support in a matrixed organization
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
