About the role:

The Business Unit Director (BUD) - Continuous Inkjet (CIJ) positionis responsible forgeneral management,salesand P&L of the CIJ product line within a matrix organization. In direct coordination with Sales, Marketing, Product Planning, Service, Operations, Procurement, Engineering and R&D, this individual willestablisha strategic vision for the product lines driving growth, profitability, and on a global basis.

This position is part of the global Business Unit Management group and will report to the Sr. Director of Business Unit Management.


In this role, you will:

  • Develop product line strategy plan:1 and 3 yearvision, business cases, high-level use cases/requirements, and revenue that compliments Videojet's overall strategy.

  • In depth understanding of competitors, theirproductsand strategies with an eye to understand their full positioning and plans of attack.

  • Working very closely with the regional leaders, the BUD owns the sales growth and P&L for their products (equipment, supplies and parts).

  • Develop comprehensive materials and tools to help sales win opportunities. These include fight sheets, value selling documents, ROI/TCO tools, solution guides, etc.

  • Develop global plans forlaunchanddevelopinternal support material.

  • With Marketing, review/approve marketing materials, develop target customersegmentsand developappropriate demandgeneration campaigns.

  • Get to Gemba(point of impact/field) to really understand customer,competitorand market dynamics.

  • Lead activities to address bugs, updates, upgrades and enhancements, and drive items to completion.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams in the development, QA, and release of products, andbalanceresources to ensure success for the entire organization.


What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in product management or a related role, ideally includinga track recordof successfully delivering successful new products launchings

  • Experience in a senior product role at a director's level working with a technical product is preferred.

  • A strong understanding of the marking and coding market, industry trends, and user experiences

  • Strongexpertisein market research tools and techniques.

  • Proficiencyin creating product vision and leading cross-team collaboration across engineering and commercial organizations.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $ 160000 - $ 200000 USD per year.This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
