Job Title: Trust & Securities Services - Head of California

Overview
The Trust and Securities Services (TSS) Santa Ana Head is responsible for the short- and long-term financial success, controls, and budget planning of the TSS businesses in Santa Ana as well as the financial success of the Americas TSS business. He/ she will contribute to the strategy for the business in the Americas and will drive the implementation of respective strategic plans, while ensuring that these are aligned to the global TSS strategy in accordance with relevant regulations and laws. The TSS Santa Ana Head will steer key business activities and ensures full alignment to DB's risk management framework and all relevant global regulatory and compliance requirements. Furthermore, the position holder also maintains key internal and external business and client relationships for TSS.

What You'll Do
  • Strategy: Contributing to TSS strategy and ensuring implementation of corresponding strategic plans within budget constraints; supporting group-wide strategic projects from a CB TSS perspective
  • Performance management: Ownership of the TSS financial plan for businesses under management: revenues, costs, resources (people, balance sheet, etc.), and technology investment; identify and drive initiatives to enhance performance and business scalability; active cost management and risk & capital discipline
  • Operations Management & Control: Actively oversees internal and external audit & compliance issues and customer complaints for TSS and drives required remediations; meets TSS financial targets / P&L, including active cost management as well as risk and capital discipline; works with all internal partners including Operations, AFC, Compliance, Risk, HR, Technology, etc., to deliver TAS business targets and manage business risks
  • Client Management: Oversees client on-boarding, client relationship and perimeter management and product governance; develops and maintains key client and business relationships
  • Risk management & governance: Participates in defining the risk appetite for TSS and aligns with 2nd LoD stakeholders; ensure risks are assessed and managed in accordance with DB's risk management frameworks; actively oversees internal and external audit/compliance issues and drives risk remediation, as well as customer complaints for TSS in the Santa Ana office

  • People Management: Manages human resources including talent management, career development and compensation of TSS staff in the region
  • Risk management & governance: Ownership of financial and non-financial risk in TSS; successfully manages all fiduciary responsibilities and fiduciary risks for the TSS regionally

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Santa Ana, CA office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in California is $325,000 to $400,000.
