Job description

The Regal Brands family of companies produces decorative hardware products ranging from vintage interior door handle sets to hinges and cabinet hardware, representing a wide range of styles and décor. Our products are sold through various e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Wayfair, and our own website. We are currently seeking a Director of Operations to lead our warehouse, assembly, shipping, and quality control teams in Denver, Colorado. This position offers an anticipated starting salary of $120,000 - $140,000 annually, plus bonus opportunities, and eligibility for our full benefits package, including health, dental, life, and 401(k).

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Operations will provide leadership for approximately 40 employees and three managers across our shipping, logistics, receiving, warehousing, assembly, and quality control teams. This position is responsible for leading multiple department managers while driving continuous improvement efforts to keep our already thriving operation moving forward.  This position will be the senior leader for the following departments:

  • Warehouse shipping, receiving, and assembly/packing teams. This team consists of approximately 20 employees and one manager who are responsible for receiving inventory, storing products, assembling customer orders, and shipping complete orders.
  • Quality Control team. This team consists of one manager and three employees responsible for inspecting products received from overseas suppliers and ensuring they are free of defects and blemishes before being released into inventory.
  • Individual contributors, including our Buyer, who is responsible for procuring inventory and managing supplier orders, and our Project Manager, who leads process improvement initiatives.

Other areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

  • Overall responsibility for day-to-day operations.
  • Managing departmental budgets.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing managers and employees.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing our project manager.
  • Identifying risks early and leading mitigation strategies.
  • Assisting with new product development.
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA and safety standards.

 

Who We Are Seeking:

The ideal candidate is a proven operational leader with extensive experience in e-commerce fulfillment, manufacturing, and supply chain operations. This individual has a track record of building high-performing teams, driving continuous improvement, and scaling operations while maintaining exceptional quality and customer service. Required qualifications are as follows:

  • 10 years of senior leadership experience in e-commerce, fulfillment, manufacturing, or a similar area.
  • Subject matter expertise in LEAN Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or a similar area.
  • Experience with e-commerce, ideally with systems such as Shopify.
  • Experience creating, managing, and updating Gantt charts.
  • Experience with project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and new product introduction (NPI) processes.
