Salary : $ 57,648- $ 71,000/ Year Depending on years of Experience

PURPOSE:
The Director of Community Day Services (CDS) is responsible for providing leadership,direction, and operational oversight of Little City's adult community day programs and services. The Director provides leadership, coaching, and support to the Assistant Directors and leadership staff at all assigned locations while ensuring program operations are aligned with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The Director is accountable for census growth, service utilization, budget performance, staff development,
community integration, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and achievement of departmental goals. The Director serves as the primary operational leader for Community Day Services and works closely with the Vice President of Community Enrichment and Employment
Services to implement strategic initiatives, achieve organizational objectives, and ensure successful service delivery and positive outcomes for individuals served. The Director oversees, supervises, and evaluates the performance of Program Secretary, 2 (two) Assistant
Directors of Day Community Services and other assigned leadership staff as applicable. The Director is responsible for the implementation of the strategic plan as well as developing, implementing and evaluating skill building curriculum.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Implement and monitor Community Day Services fiscal year initiatives, objectives, and goals that can be found in the strategic plan.in partnership with the Vice President of Community Enrichment and Employment Services.
2. Define and implement environments to meet program goals and objectives.
3. Provide leadership, oversight, and evaluation of service delivery, skill-building curriculum development and implementation, and person- centered outcomes.
4. Participate in hiring, training, coaching, evaluating, recognizing, and retaining leadership and program staff, and initiate disciplinary action up to and including termination, if necessary.
5. Ensures that all activities including training and performance evaluation are executed in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with Agency policies and procedures and all applicable Federal, State, licensing regulations and accreditation standards.
6. Responsible for data reporting and support documentation on attendance, program/progress notes, and duration, serving as a liaison with the finance department on billing and resolution.
7. Manage and monitor departmental budgets and resources while maintaining quality services and fiscal responsibility.
8. Provide leadership and accountability for departmental performance by driving census growth, in line with strategic initiatives, maximizing service utilization, monitoring program outcomes, and implementing continuous improvement strategies to support organizational goals.
9. Partner with development/grants team members to ensure commitments are tracked, communicated, and executed.
10. When necessary, presents to the Board of Directors and works with potential donors.
11. Define and implement system for program participant assessment and alignment based on interest, ability, support needs and choice.
12. Collaborate closely with Transportation, Facilities, Adult Residential Services, Human Resources, Finance, and other departments to support programming, operational effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and quality service delivery.
13. Ensure attendance records, billing support documentation, service documentation, and billable hours are accurately completed and submitted to the Finance department within established timelines.
14. Works closely and collaboratively with Continuous Quality Improvement team and in partnership with Vice President of Community Enrichment and Employment Services to ensure environments are safe and meet program needs and track program goals and objectives
15. Partner in defining and executing on-site and off-site experiences including volunteer, , and other projects.
16. Maintain thorough knowledge of and compliance with State and Federal regulations, including but not limited to Department of Human Services, Bureau of Accreditation and Licensure (BALC) & Bureau of Quality Management Divisions (BQM), Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Department of Public Health, Commission of Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)and Office of Inspector General (OIG).
17. Represent the agency and ensure effective and positive public relations at events, including. transition fairs, school open houses, networking events, community meetings, and other outreach opportunities
18. Ensure on-going development of positive relationships with businesses, agencies, community members and others with or without a current vested interest in Little City Foundation.
19. Work collaboratively with union leadership and ensure compliance with the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
20. Ensure programs promote the health and safety of program participants and staff members.
21. Increase and support meaningful community participation opportunities that promote inclusion, independence, and personal growth for individuals served.
22. Lead operational problem solving, crisis response, and decision-making related to staffing, programming, participant support needs, communicating facility concerns, and communicating transportation issues, and service delivery challenges.
23. Coach, mentor, and develop leadership staff to ensure effective site oversite, operational excellence, and achievement of departmental goals.
24. Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, engagement, and continuous improvement throughout the department.
26. Communicate significant operational issues, risks, trends, achievements, and opportunities to the Vice President of Community Enrichment and Employment Services in a timely manner.
27. Maintains annual American Heart Association certification in First Aid and CPR.
28. Successfully completes Little City required training, re-training, and any additional training as required by Little City policies and practices, or as assigned by his or her immediate supervisor.
29. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree required in human services or related field, such as rehabilitation, as well as a minimum of three (3) years of management experience preferably in the provision of providing services for individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of adult day services, case
management principles, regulatory requirements, budget management, labor relations, and employee performance management preferred. Must possess strong leadership, communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. QIDP
Certification is preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject to sitting, walking, and standing for prolonged periods; frequently grasps, lifts, holds, or feels objects; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. The employee frequently is required to use manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination when working with persons served and handling office, medical, or household equipment. The employee is subject to assist and lift up to 30 pounds with varying amounts of assistance on a reoccurring basis. The employee is required to have corrected vision and hearing within normal range and the ability to operate a motor vehicle. Must have the ability to perform CPR and CPI. Generally, no occupational exposure to blood, body fluids, communicable diseases, or other potentially infectious substances, but may require performing unplanned Category III tasks (Category II).
