POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Afognak Native Corporation has an opportunity for a Director of Business Transformation. The Director of Business Transformation serves as the enterprise leader responsible for driving strategic business transformation initiatives across the organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer, this position partners with executive leadership to improve operational performance, modernize business processes, and implement technology solutions that support growth, compliance, scalability, and operational excellence.

This leader will develop and execute a multi-year transformation roadmap focused on optimizing end-to-end business processes, implementing enterprise technologies, and enhancing organizational capabilities. The Director will lead cross-functional initiatives spanning Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Contracts, Procurement, Program Operations, and Shared Services while ensuring compliance with government contracting regulations.

The successful candidate is an accomplished government contracting executive with extensive experience leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, implementing complex business systems, and driving organizational change within highly regulated environments.

Enterprise Transformation Strategy

  • Partner with the Chief Administrative Officer to establish and execute the organization's enterprise business transformation strategy.
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year transformation roadmap aligned with corporate strategic objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, reduce costs, enhance customer service, and strengthen compliance.
  • Lead enterprise initiatives that standardize business processes across federal and commercial operations.
  • Establish transformation governance, project prioritization methodologies, and executive reporting processes.
  • Present transformation progress, business cases, risks, and performance metrics to executive leadership.

Business Process Excellence

  • Provide executive leadership for enterprise process transformation including:

Executive Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Administrative Officer by:
    • Evaluating strategic business initiatives
    • Developing business cases and ROI analyses
    • Advising on organizational design and process improvements
    • Identifying operational risks and mitigation strategies
    • Supporting mergers, acquisitions, and organizational integration activities, as applicable
    • Driving enterprise-wide change management efforts

Data Analytics & Executive Reporting

  • Develop executive dashboards and performance metrics utilizing:

Leadership

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience within a Government Contracting (GovCon) environment.
  • HS Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Demonstrated expertise interpreting and applying FAR, DFARS, CAS, DCAA, and CMMC requirements within operational and technology environments.
  • Minimum of 8 years leading enterprise business transformation, process improvement, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Proven success leading multiple enterprise ERP implementations and complex system integrations.
  • Extensive experience implementing and optimizing:
    • Deltek Costpoint
    • Microsoft Dynamics
    • Hyland OnBase
    • ADP
    • Workday
    • Microsoft Power BI
    • IBM Cognos
    • Unanet
  • Demonstrated leadership of Procure-to-Pay, Contract-to-Cash, and Hire-to-Retire transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of government contractor accounting, procurement, project accounting, communication, strategic planning, facilitation, and change management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience with robotic process automation (RPA), workflow automation, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation technologies.
  • Experience supporting DCAA and DCMA audits.
  • Experience leading enterprise shared services transformations.
