DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Job Summary:

We are looking for an accomplished Business Development Director. You'll be responsible for identifying, leading and closing new sales and partnerships with Fortune 1000 enterprises. We currently support dozens of top-tier enterprise partners including Amazon, PayPal, Verizon, Google, Mastercard, PepsiCo, DoorDash, eBay, among many others with high-touch small business programs (grants and accelerator programs), events, and marketing services. We are seeking a proven sales leader to help accelerate growth.

Reporting into the Co-Founder and President, Elizabeth Gore, you will be responsible for co-developing overall go-to-market strategy and sales end-to-end from prospecting to contracting. You will be supported by a strong sales development representative (SDR), who has an established and proven lead generation system. You will partner closely with our head of partnerships to hand-off for partner success optimization.

Role and Responsibilities:

Here's what you'll be working on day-to-day, but as a nimble organization that puts our small business community at the forefront, flexibility is key, and other responsibilities may arise.

  • You will be a key player on our business development team to drive new business opportunities
  • Responsible for prospecting, structuring and closing deals with both large enterprise partners
  • You will drive complex sales cycles working cross functionally with product, marketing and brand teams
  • You will use your experience and consultative selling skills to initiate long-standing relationships with new and existing partners
  • You will employ effective selling strategies to successfully position Hello Alice as a strategic partner to reach, engage and support SMB's


Required Skills and Experiences:

  • 10+ years experience in B2B and/or Partnership Sales/Strategic Account Management
  • You are entrepreneurial, passionate, enthusiastic and a successful business development leader leader who wants to be part of a fast growing Series C technology company
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact, motivate and engage effectively internally and externally
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment while still providing quality opportunities and driving revenue
  • Ability to understand complex business environments, uncover customer issues and translate need into business opportunities
  • Must have a strategic approach with a commitment to success
  • Experience leveraging C-level relationships
  • You are empathetic and understand partnership needs so you can effectively position Hello Alice products and services
  • Experience cultivating mutually beneficial strategic partner relationships and alliances with proven success with consultative selling and sales strategy
  • Proven ability in managing complex sales cycles from start to finish with a track record of successful outcomes
  • Proven experience of pulling together different business units to maximize on sales opportunities
