Job description

Advenir Azora is a real estate investment and asset management firm focused on multifamily properties in high-growth and supply balanced U.S. markets. Founded in 1996 with a current AUM of $3.8bn across 10,000 units, Advenir Azora invests across Core, Core Plus, and Value-Add strategies. The firm's vertically integrated platform combines acquisitions, asset management, and property oversight to drive performance across its portfolio.

Position Overview

Advenir Azora is seeking a Director of Asset Management to lead the performance and value creation initiatives for a portfolio of multifamily investments.

This role will serve as a primary point of contact for asset-level business plans, financial performance, and stakeholder communication throughout the ownership lifecycle. The Director will partner closely with property management teams, capital markets, investor relations, and senior leadership to drive NOI growth, manage capital expenditure programs, evaluate refinance and disposition decisions, and deliver institutional-quality reporting.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented multifamily asset management professional with a strong track record in financial oversight, KPI development, and cross-functional project leadership, who is seeking a long-term growth opportunity within an institutional ownership platform.

Essential Job Duties

  • Oversee the financial and operating performance of an assigned portfolio of multifamily assets, including budget-to-actual variance analysis and pro forma modeling.
  • Monitor balance sheet health and cash flow stability across the portfolio; oversee property-level cash management.
  • Develop and manage capital expenditure plans, budgets, and project execution timelines.
  • Develop and maintain an asset watchlist; identify underperforming or critical-concern assets and implement remediation strategies.
  • Conduct sale-versus-refinance analyses and support capital allocation and strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve asset and portfolio performance.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and contribute to the development of new processes and best practices within the asset management function.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for property management teams, institutional investors, lenders, attorneys, third-party vendors, and senior executives, delivering clear and professional communication at all levels.
  • Prepare institutional-quality reports, strategic recommendations, and presentations for investors, lenders, and senior leadership.
  • Lead multiple concurrent projects to successful completion while maintaining strict adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of direct real estate experience, with a strong preference for multifamily asset management within an institutional environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial oversight, capital expenditure management, and strategic decision-making for multifamily assets.
  • Proficiency in budget-to-actual variance analysis, pro forma modeling, and financial reporting.
  • Experience developing and tracking KPIs to drive performance improvement.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical rigor, with strong project leadership skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging investors, lenders, property management teams, legal counsel, and vendors.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Long-term career orientation with interest in growth toward a senior leadership role.
  • This position is based in Miami, FL. Candidates outside this market must be willing to relocate.
  • Ability to travel as required.
