Job Description:

Role Summary:

The District Asset Protection Manager (DAPM) oversees Asset Protection (AP) operations, physical security, and loss prevention across six assigned store locations. Partnering closely with Store Leadership, Corporate Investigations, and the Regional AP Director, the DAPM drives shortage reduction strategies, manages theft investigations, ensures compliance, and develops field AP talent to safeguard company assets and maintain a safe environment.

Role Description :

  • Oversee Asset Protection operations across multiple retail locations in Florida to minimize loss and protect company assets.

  • Lead and develop a district team of Asset Protection professionals, ensuring training, performance, and engagement.

  • Identify and correct operational control deficiencies in each assigned store to proactively mitigate financial and inventory loss.

  • Conduct and manage thorough internal and external theft investigations with confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and all applicable local, state, and federal laws.

  • Manage physical security measures, including alarm systems and security personnel, to maintain safe environments for associates and customers.

  • 50% Travel to stores to conduct regular, structured store visits to evaluate the AP team's performance,

  • Collaborate with store leadership and corporate teams to support business initiatives while mitigating risk.

  • Lead annual physical inventory processes and implement shortage reduction strategies based on data analysis.

  • Foster strong relationships with law enforcement and prosecuting authorities to support investigations and legal actions.

  • Maintain audit readiness and enforce compliance standards across stores in the district.

  • Recruit, hire, train, and mentor new hires to build a strong pipeline of talent.

  • Oversee the onboarding, and development of all assigned Asset Protection team members.

  • Monitor and report key performance metrics related to asset protection and loss prevention.

Required Qualifications (Minimum Requirements):

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Asset Protection or Loss Prevention with at least 2 years in a multi-store leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of retail operations, theft prevention strategies, internal investigations, and physical security systems.

  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams across multiple locations.

  • Proven ability to conduct thorough investigations and manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Experience managing inventory processes, audit preparation, and shortage reduction strategies.

  • Solid understanding of Florida local, state, and federal laws related to investigations, detainment, and workplace safety.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with incident management systems and learning management systems (LMS).

  • Ability to travel regularly within the assigned district.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.

  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands to handle or feel.

  • Required to stand, walk, run, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, and kneel.

  • Must occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds.
