Job Title: Network Support Tech

Department: Information Technology

Reports To: Information Technology Director

 

Summary

We are seeking a full-time, on-site Junior Network Administrator based in Denison, TX, to assist our corporate IT staff in providing technical support for end-users and supporting network administration functions across multiple locations.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact for end-users requiring technical assistance.
  • Install or assist in the installation of hardware and peripheral components such as computers, laptops, monitors, keyboards, printers, power supplies, telephones, copiers, and other computer and network-related equipment.
  • Installing software on computers for end-users.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and/or software issues.
  • Coordinate projects with corporate IT and other outside technology vendors.
  • Assist the corporate IT department with the physical installation of servers and network equipment, such as switches, wireless access points, and firewalls.
  • Assist users with the operation of computer equipment, printers, telephones, telephone systems, and copiers.
  • Assist our corporate Network Engineering staff with routine network administration, such as managing user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft Office 365.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, such as moving computer equipment.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technology-related certifications or higher education are recommended but not required.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of IT support or systems administration experience. We are seeking an employee that can function reasonably independently.
