Senior Director, Network Contracting

The Senior Director, Network Contracting is an executive operational leadership position responsible for directing and executing provider network contracting, deal closing, and unit‑cost delivery across key growth markets.

In this role, you will serve as the primary commercial lead on the team—bringing deep commercial‑first contracting expertise while guiding a high‑performing team that executes across both Commercial and Medicare Advantage lines of business.

You will be a hands‑on executive accountable for operationalizing provider agreements, optimizing fee schedules, and ensuring scalable deal execution. As an adaptable operational leader, you will leverage modern digital workflows, data visualization tools, and AI‑assisted analytics to track contract yields, speed up turnaround times, and maintain pricing discipline.

Responsibilities and Impact
  • Drive end‑to‑end execution of provider contracting across targeted expansion markets, ensuring agreements are closed on time, within yield targets, and fully compliant with operational standards.
  • Serve as the functional domain lead for contracting strategy and execution, while leading a team responsible for executing deals across both Commercial and Medicare Advantage products.
  • Lead complex, direct negotiations with physician groups, specialty networks, and ancillary providers—focusing heavily on commercial fee schedules, rates, and risk structures.
  • Partner closely with Provider Operations, Claims, and Credentialing to ensure negotiated contract terms, rates, and value‑based parameters are flawlessly implemented into core systems.
  • Manage and mentor a high‑performing team of network contracting negotiators, driving accountability, standardizing negotiation playbooks, and adopting AI‑assisted tools to streamline deal workflows.
  • Collaborate with Actuarial, Underwriting, Product, and Sales teams to rapidly execute network deals that support competitive product pricing and market expansion.
Required Skills and Experience
  • 12+ years of hands‑on experience in healthcare network contracting, with a primary foundation and proven track record in Commercial managed care environments, paired with exposure to Medicare Advantage execution.
  • Extensive background directly closing high‑stakes contract negotiations with physician organizations, specialty groups, and ancillary provider networks.
  • Deep expertise in commercial pricing models, fee schedule development, risk‑sharing structures, and contract operationalization.
  • Demonstrated experience building, leading, and driving accountability across direct‑report contracting teams focused on multi‑product deal execution and speed‑to‑market.
  • Adaptable, tech‑forward mindset with a focus on leveraging modern workflows and AI‑assisted tools to accelerate deal execution and reporting.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Background or prior experience with health system, hospital, or integrated contracting models.
  • Knowledge of Medicare Advantage regulatory frameworks and CMS network adequacy requirements.
  • Proficiency in utilizing data visualization platforms or AI copilots to evaluate contract financial yields and rate impacts.
Salary Range

$180,000 – $250,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
