Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot IBM z/OS Communications Server, including VTAM, TCP/IP, and TN3270 environments.

  • Support and optimize GDPS network infrastructure across multi-datacenter and disaster recovery environments to ensure high availability and resiliency.

  • Manage and maintain TPX Session Manager environments, including configuration, performance tuning, and user support.

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and support Connect:Direct and other enterprise file transfer solutions.

  • Implement and troubleshoot secure file transfer technologies including FTP, SFTP, FTPS, and FTP-AT/TLS.

  • Monitor, analyze, and resolve complex mainframe networking issues involving multiple protocols, connectivity layers, and distributed platforms.

  • Participate in the design and management of IP addressing, network architecture, and mainframe integration with enterprise infrastructure.

  • Support software implementation, maintenance, and upgrades using SMP/E, adhering to change management and configuration standards.

  • Provide production support through participation in an on-call rotation, including weekend maintenance and scheduled change windows.

  • Develop, document, and continuously improve operational procedures, standards, and best practices for mainframe network services.

Basic Qualifications

-Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
-At least 7 years experience with managing day-to-day delivery of satisfactory network services to clients.
-At least 7 years experience within a total Information Technology (IT) environment.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Strong expertise in IBM z/OS Communications Server, including VTAM, TCP/IP, TN3270, Enterprise Extender, and network performance tuning.

  • Experience supporting GDPS (Geographically Dispersed Parallel Sysplex) environments and disaster recovery network configurations.

  • Proven administration experience with TPX Session Manager in large-scale enterprise environments.

  • Hands-on experience with Connect:Direct, file transfer automation, and managed file transfer solutions.

  • Knowledge of secure data transmission technologies including FTP-AT/TLS, SFTP, SSL/TLS, and network encryption protocols.

  • Experience using SMP/E for software installation, maintenance, upgrades, and vendor product deployment.

  • Strong understanding of mainframe networking, IP addressing, routing, DNS, and network architecture design.

  • Knowledge of network security, internet security controls, contingency planning, and disaster recovery processes.

  • Experience with network monitoring, performance analysis, troubleshooting tools, and root-cause investigation across enterprise environments.

  • Ability to evaluate new technologies, vendors, and infrastructure solutions while ensuring compliance with IT standards, configuration management, and operational governance.

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
