Job description

Director of Business Development
Location: Remote | Employment Type: Full-Time | Reports To: Executive Leadership

Overview

Our client is a performance media company built for agencies, brands, consulting firms, and multi-location businesses that need smarter, faster, and more scalable digital media execution. They combine AI-powered media planning, advanced audience intelligence, cross-channel activation, and executive-level reporting to help clients turn media into a measurable growth engine. Their capabilities span paid search, paid social, programmatic, CTV/OTT, display, video, audio, DOOH, native, analytics, and emerging media channels.

They also operate as a white-label Media Execution Partner for agencies, consulting firms, and enterprise partners that need to expand digital capabilities without adding internal complexity.

As the company scales, they are hiring a Director of Business Development to drive the next stage of revenue expansion. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role focused on hunting new business, building strategic partnerships, and positioning the company as a preferred media growth partner across agencies, brands, consulting firms, and multi-location enterprises.

What You'll Do

New Business Development

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new high-value client and partner relationships
  • Lead executive-level conversations with CMOs, CEOs, founders, agency owners, managing partners, franchise leaders, PE operators, and enterprise marketing teams
  • Own the full new business process from outreach and discovery through proposal, pitch, negotiation, and close
  • Position services around measurable business outcomes including revenue growth, customer acquisition, media efficiency, local market performance, and ROAS

Strategic Partnerships

  • Build and scale partner relationships with independent agencies, consulting firms, technology providers, data companies, franchise organizations, and enterprise service providers
  • Develop white-label and co-sell partnership models that allow partners to expand media capabilities while execution is managed behind the scenes
  • Build a referral and influence network that consistently creates high-quality pipeline

Growth Strategy

  • Identify the highest-value opportunities across direct brand relationships, white-label agency partnerships, consulting firm partnerships, and multi-location enterprises
  • Develop scalable revenue models including direct media partnerships, white-label execution, co-sell models, referral partnerships, revenue-share structures, and enterprise pilots
  • Establish clear revenue goals, pipeline targets, forecasting standards, and partner development objectives

Organic Growth and Revenue Operations

  • Work with account leadership and client success teams to identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts
  • Build and manage a disciplined pipeline of direct, partner-led, and referral-driven opportunities using CRM tools
  • Track performance across pipeline volume, conversion rate, average deal size, partner-sourced revenue, and recurring revenue growth
  • Help build repeatable systems that allow the company to scale growth beyond founder-led selling

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, strategic partnerships, media, consulting, or marketing services
  • Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth in an agency, media, AdTech, MarTech, SaaS, consulting, or professional services environment
  • Experience selling to executive-level buyers including CMOs, CEOs, founders, managing partners, franchise executives, and PE operators
  • Strong understanding of digital media, performance marketing, programmatic advertising, paid social, paid search, CTV/OTT, analytics, and cross-channel media strategy
  • Demonstrated success building strategic partnerships, referral channels, white-label relationships, or co-sell opportunities
  • Strong existing network across agencies, brands, consulting firms, franchise organizations, PE, or enterprise marketing
  • Commercial instincts around pricing, packaging, deal structure, and revenue quality
  • Experience managing CRM pipeline, forecasting, and revenue reporting
  • Ability to operate in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment where strategy and execution happen simultaneously
  • Background in independent agencies, DSP/programmatic sales, management consulting, or multi-location enterprise growth is strongly preferred

Compensation

Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission. Total compensation is structured to reward both near-term revenue creation and long-term strategic growth. Final structure based on experience and role scope.
