Job description

Fieldpiece is hiring a sharp, curious Data Analyst who loves digging into details, spotting patterns, and turning numbers into stories that drive decisions. If you’re 3 years into your analytics career, have worked in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company and are ready to grow, this could be your next move.

This role is hands-on. You’ll build reports, clean data, validate numbers, chase inconsistencies, and automate processes. You’ll sit close to the business, partner with stakeholders, and see your analysis shape forecasting, planning, and operational decisions across the organization.

Fieldpiece is a thriving team of innovators - committed to pushing boundaries and celebrating curiosity.  We’ve been providing HVACR professionals with rugged, feature-rich tools like meters, manifolds, leak detectors, and more since 1990.  Fieldpiece leads the industry in the way we think, work, collaborate, and remain laser-focused on creating products that empower HVACR professionals – today and tomorrow.  If you thrive in an environment where challenges are embraced, ambiguity fuels innovation, and relationships are built on trust and transparency—this is your opportunity.

Honored as a Best Place to Work in SoCal for three consecutive years (2023–2025), Fieldpiece offers more than a job—we offer a career journey. With our Hire-to-Retire philosophy, hybrid schedule, and supportive culture, you’ll have the space to flex your curious, innovative, and entrepreneurial muscles.

Based in Orange, CA today—with an exciting move to a brand-new Tustin office in mid-2027.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with stakeholders to build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports
  • Generate insights that support forecasting, budgeting, and operational planning
  • Identify trends, performance drivers, and variances and clearly communicate what they mean and translate business questions into structured analytical approaches.
  • Improve and automate reporting processes
  • Validate and reconcile data to ensure accuracy and integrity
  • Transform and synthesize datasets for ad-hoc and deep-dive analysis
  • Contribute to documentation and data definition standards
  • Bachelor’s degree (STEM or related field preferred)
  • 3+ years in a Data Analyst or similar analytical role
  • Experience working for a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company (not healthcare, technical or services)
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
  • Proficiency with Tableau or similar BI tools and building dashboards and performance reporting
  • Ability to explain complex analysis in clear, simple language
  • Naturally detail-oriented and investigative, highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working independently and collaborating across teams

At Fieldpiece, we believe great work deserves great rewards. We offer:

  • Matching 401k up to 4% with immediate vesting.
  • Excellent medical benefits including an HSA plan and monthly contributions.
  • Supplemental Term Life, Employee Assistance Programs (EAD), Disability, and more.
  • Hire to Retire philosophy that includes personal career development plans.
  • Onsite music program with lessons from guitar, piano and voice coaches.
  • And more!

The California base annual salary range for this role is currently $80,000-100,000 plus 10% bonus.  Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members. We can share more information about our bonus program and benefits during the hiring process.
